General Compression Garment Care

How to Dress your Garment, Clean it and Care for it

"Stage 1" - Garments - Medical

  • Carefully fit the garment on the body taking care to close the hooks and eyes starting at the lower part or the upper part of the garment which ever is the most comfortable for you.

"Stage 2" - Garments - Aesthetic

  • Carefully slip the garment onto the body either legs first or upper body first, depending on the garment, pulling it up, or down, without letting it curl, until you have it all on. If it gets twisted do not try to fix it with it on. Take it off and carefully put it on again.
  • Do not put it on wearing rings or with long finger nails because the fabric must not be subject to any exaggerated pressure points.
  • It is important to use the correct garment size for your body. The garment is not intended to tighten the body, but to massage the body.
  • The garment should be worn on a daily basis in direct contact with the skin. Its natural opening provides easy and comfortable personal hygiene.

Compression Garment Care and Cleaning:

  • Do not machine wash.
  • Wash daily after use in lukewarm water with a neutral base soap or a glycerin base soap.
  • Wash gently by hand.
  • Take out as much moisture as possible with a dry towel and let the garment dry in the shade.
  • After drying, place the garment in the refrigerator for half an hour, which allows the fibers to be re-hydrated, after which it is ready for reuse. The garments do not loose their all important elasticity.
